Perfect match for my Maggies LRS+ not a lot of info out there on this combo, so decided to take the plunge and see how it adds up. Currently have a Jolida Fusion tube preamp connected via xlr inputs and I hear nothing but dead silence out of the amp at idle and at full volume with nothing playing. The amp barely gets warm. Makes the LRS+ sound phenomenal. I have around 50 hours so far on the break in process, but if this is any indication of the sound now, and will get better as time goes on, this would be a sleeper of a system for 3 grand. I am happy with the purchase.

  1. It arrived

  2. I am happy with this amp so far. Most of my listening is at very low volumes during my work-from-home days. I find this amp sounds more “open” at low volumes than my previous amp, the GFA-535-II. My only beef is that I would prefer the power switch to be on front like it was on the 535. The ordering process was smooth and the delivery was quick.

  3. I am happy with this new preamp. It is replacing my old GPT-400. The old pre had manual switches, which have been getting noisy and finicky over the years. The phono in sounds great compared to the one on the old pre. I like that the phono in can be switched to line mode, which will let me experiment with other phono pre’s without giving up an input. I have not tried the USB or bluetooth or optical inputs yet.

  4. I have been an Adcom fan for over twenty-five years and never been dissapointed. I have the GFA 555, GFA 555 II, GFA 5802, GFA 585SE, and two GFA 565SE’s. All of the equipment is FANTASTIC. Adcom rocks!

  5. Easy to setup. Sounds amazing. Looks amazing. Easy to use.
